Understanding Digital Communication Systems

Communication Protocols are ways in which you can use programs to communicate to others. You may know these as W3C, WAP, GSM, 3G, MMS, GPRS, ADSL and cable & VoIP. I am going to use 3G for my example. 3G is on most modern phones these days if not all, now you can connect to the internet within a couple of seconds and how is that if you don't have a cable or antenna? well it work's by sending and receiving radio signals to and from base stations, which then receive the information that has been asked and then sends back that information to your phone producing the requested web page on your screen. Methods of using this 3G technology is for example Facebook, Facebook is a web 2.0 Community where people can IMS each other where ever they are by using Facebook chat.
Internet services including world wide web (www.) are ways of searching for a particular criteria. (www.Facebook.com) the domain name here is "Facebook" and the hosting is ".com"
Web 2.0 - Social networking sites are ways to communicate with many people around the world, and a great way of sharing information such as information sharing, adding content such as images etc.. also video's and also even tagging people within pictures.
